Meyler Family Reunion

July 25th and 26th Brian and I went to New York to celebrate with the Meyler Family. This was my first family reunion to attend. It was a great weekend, getting to visit with the Irish side of the family was so much fun and a great memory. We are looking forward to the next one.

We ended the weekend with my Mom and Nephew at the Oasis. I have always wanted to try the slide out! Once Noah tried it... it was hard to pull him away and me too!

Gruene

While we were in Austin we decided to head up toward the outlets to do some shopping. A friend from work was telling me about this little German town called Gurene. And said, If I ended up towards the outlets I must see this town. So we did! And we eat at the Gristmill, which is a restaurant in this historical town. If you are up that way you must see Gruene... at the least you must eat at the Gristmill.

1.5 million bats... No joke!

People from all over come to Austin to see the bats. I have been coming to Austin since I was a little girl and had NO IDEA that the bats were so popular. Apparently they live under this bridge you see in the photo. At dusk millions of bats fly out from under this bridge to feed on bugs. It is quite the site!

Special visitor!

A special visitor from Oklahoma- my Mom and nephew Noah came down for the weekend to join me in celebrating great Grandma's 83rd b-day.

Noah had his first encounter of salmon his first night here.... luckily he liked it and decide Uncle Brian's a great cook! All had a great weekend!

The Race is on...

This is a game Quinn and Riley like to play- Who can touch the edge of Mimi and Papa's pool the fastest! It is very entertaining to watch the two. Of course Quinn ALWAYS wins but Riley will give him some competition when she gets older and has her own big bird tube, until then Mimi helps her.

Firecracker day!

Fourth of July Brian and I went to a neighbors house Roy and Autumn for a BBQ and Swim party. We met them from a recent neighborhood social we organized. We had good food, good company and a good time!

La Mesa Mexican Bistro!

Thursday night Brian and I went out with Meghann and Herbert. We started out at our house so we could show off our new bathroom and then went to Market Street where we had dinner at La Mesa Mexican Bistro! We had a great time catching up with each other.

Go Army!

While we were at the Astro’s vs. Red Sox game Sunday night- Brian got a chance to catch up with an Army buddy he had not seen in 15 years - Scott Falcon. Lucky us - Scott came down to watch his favorite baseball team (Red Sox) lose. L Brian made his visit a little more worth while, they laughed and reminisced about the Army days.
