Charlee Jean {Seven Months}

Wow, Charlee. This month alone you starting sitting in a big girl car seat, we have lowered your crib, you have two teeth, you are pulling up on everything, crawling around and eating lots of solids. Why do you have to grow up so fast?

Family fun

Our weekends have been filled with crawfish boils and family fun. This last weekend we were invited to a crawfish party hosted at "Event land" in Magnolia. What a beautiful atmosphere for an outdoor party. They had a petting zoo, obstacle course, train rides, bounce house, and a swimming pool. Who could ask for more?!? And the best of it all, was Chef Jason manning the crawfish pot. The crawfish turned out PERFECT- juicy, easy to peel, and the right amount of spice!

And as all good parties, they must eventually come to a end. :(

Charlee Jean {Six months}

Dear Charlee Jean,

Well months 6 has come and gone....and you actually turned 7 months old a few days ago! Really, really not sure how this is possible sister. But since I never posted a recap for months 6, I thought I'd go ahead and do that and hopefully I'll get back on track. Thanks for understanding my dear. ;)
At your 6 month check-up, you weighed 16.4 pounds (55%), were 26 1/2 inches long (35%), and your head measured 16 1/2 inches (41%). I think you might have gained a little weight since then, but you've definitely grown taller. Soon enough (too soon!) it will be time for your 9 month check-up and I can't wait to get your stats then.

You bring joy to our lives in ways we never imagined. Your smile is contagious and can make any one's day. - especially daddy and I. Each month, I have watched you grow into a happy, silly and loving baby. I'm just so proud.

Here's a peek into your world at 6 months old:

You are learning how to crawl and I know any day you will officially be a crawler. You can put both knees underneath you and rock back and forth. You can even move one knee after the other, but you haven't quite understood the concept that your hands must move too! My little yogi, you can plank with the best of them and you can even downward facing dog. It makes me laugh. For now, you are mobile by scooting, rolling all over the place and turning circles while army crawling.
You drool a lot and want everything in your mouth. Still no teeth.
Mommy finally gave in and you are eating food! We started with peas- you hated them. Hate is a strong word, but it's fitting. Next was carrots then sweet potatoes - you liked those. And now we are onto green beans. Daddy, Sutton and I crack up with the first spoonful of food each meal. It doesn't matter if you like it or not, you make an awful face and then you eat it up. Introducing you to foods has been so fun!
When you are sitting now, if you get tired, you lean forward and mosey your way into the crawling position.

This month, you got to meet your grandma Sutton! You got your first haircut!

Here is the monthly comparison. You guys are definitely looking more and more alike each day.

6 months ago, we were blessed with the absolute greatest gift. Everyday, I'm so honored and thankful for god giving us you. You are our entire world. Happy 1/2 Birthday my little angel. It's been the best 6 months of my life.

Love you to the ends of the Earth and back.

oxoxo,
Mommy, Daddy & Sutton

Charlee's first hair cut

Charlee,

Mimi gave you your first hair cut. There was not much to cut, but it was much needed. Charlee girl you had the wildest side burns. I called them your wings. Bye bye wings! I did save them for you in a envelope labeled "Charlee's wings" 4.7.2013. Which is my birthday- I like that!

Ganny and Pappy Surprise!

We got a surprise visit from Granny and Pappy over the weekend!  Sutton's birthday was Friday - I received a text from Granny around 4 pm that said... "Tell Sutton Happy Birthday we will see her in a little bit".  Lets just say, they got to see how we really live!  To say Sutton was excited when she saw them walk in, would be a huge understatement.... and Charlee, sweet girl was all "gummy" smiles.  Here are a few snaps from the weekend!

Austin trip

A few weeks ago we made a trip to Austin for a funeral sadly. My family is the type that gets together for weddings & funeral. We hope to change this, we (the cousins) are trying to get the family together in west Texas. I hope this comes to fruition.
Charlee was passed around like a baby doll as you can see in the pictures. Sutton was to busy playing with her cousins!
